Naildown welcomes drummer Heikki Saari to the band as a full-time member.
"We were really impressed by Heikki's skills in live action the first time we
shared a stage with Norther back in 2006. And now a couple of
years later we are really happy that a skillful drummer like Heikki is
joining our line-up."

"When I heard that there was a drummers' seat free in Naildown, I immediately
reported in. And later Daniel called me and asked if I could join the band
as a full-time member. After hearing the demos of the upcoming album, I
couldn’t resist it! The songs are killers and they really put the drummer in a
sticky situation. That’s why I got interested in the first place!
I’ve also been listening to Naildown since “World Domination” and always liked
the bands discography in it’s full! Also I’d met all the guys before and we got
along really well, so there was absolutely no chance that I could say NO to
Daniel's request.
For me Naildown really is a challenge. I've got all new power for practicing my
playing, which I’ve been doing a lot lately. The next album is also going
to be a killer! I can’t wait to get to the studio and start banging drumskins
like a goddamn animal. I really can't wait for the upcoming shows!
This is the beginning of a new era for me and the whole band!"

Drummer leaves NAILDOWN / Interview with Daniel - 23.10.2008
It is our sad duty to inform you that our drummer Janne leaves Naildown. Of
course this was not what we wanted and we sure didn't expect this but Janne has
made his mind. We just have to deal with it and go on without him. We wish him
all the best for his future projects and want to thank him for the good times
we had.
As we are in the middle of pre-production for our 3rd album, we already have a
few qualified Drummers to replace him and we wish to announce our new partner
in crime very soon. Also, Daniel got interviewed by Ass Buster-site and he
shared the latest happenings on Naildown-camp. You can view the interview
here.
And now, few words from Janne:
"During the last shows we did on summer I felt i wasn´t really into
this anymore, but i decided to wait for the "creative break" and
see how my feelings would turn out. But it made me even more sure
that i wasn´t 100% into playing with Naildown. And for me it´s 100% or
nothing at all! So the only right thing for me is to leave the band.
I want to thank my friends Daniel, Asko and Matti for some of the
best moments of my life, we sure had some good times that I´ll never
forget!"

All shows done and then some... - 23.6.2008
Wow! That was fun once again. At the Nosturi, we got the honour to share a
stage with legendary Finish trash-monsters; STONE ...and they actually opened the
whole event! It was one hell of a rock n' roll night that we won't forget. Also
thanks to our pals Norther for the boozin'company.
Tampere-gig was also killer, small ship packed with crazy metal-heads. Thanks
to all who showed up. You rule!

Creative break - 28.5.2008
NAILDOWN takes a creative break from touring. So we`ll be taking
some time off when it comes to playing gigs. After we have played these
summer shows already booked, we`re going to fully concentrate all our
efforts into composing new stuff for all you metalheads around there.
It`s time to start molding our forthcoming third release. Actually it`s no big deal, since calming things down sometimes does good for the writing process and to a band`s creative mood in general. So check out these shows in Helsinki and Tampere!

The Finnish riff-tsunami dealers NAILDOWN have been headhunted by KING FOO
ENTERTAINMENT. From now on all Nail-gigs and management will be handled
worldwide by the professional entertainment company which is well known behind
names like Nightwish, Children Of Bodom etc. The band is enthusiastic about
this deal and takes the opportunity to work harder than ever before and
hopefully deliver the boomblast-hybrid metal they`re known for all metalheads

Keyboarder wanted! - 4.3.2008
Naildown etsii kosketinsoittajaa.
Varsinaisesti emme etsi ketään pelkästään soittamaan jo
valmiita kosketinosuuksia, vaan asialleen omistautunutta henkilöä joka
omaa, paitsi jonkinlaisen soittotaidon, kokee myös voivansa lisätä
jotain olennaista bändin soundiin. Tulevan soittajan tulisi myös ottaa
homma sen verran tosissaan, että kaikki muu "elämä" suunnitellaan bändin
mukaan. Haku on voimassa kunnes toisin ilmoitetaan. Seuraavassa vielä
muutama perusasia, jotka tulee täyttää:
- Päihteiden kanssa sinulle on selvää kumpi vie ja kumpi ei.
- Sinulla on käytössäsi laitteet jolla toteuttaa hieman erikoisimmatkin soundit
- Laulutaito on ehdoton plussa, heikompikin huomioidaan!

Plan of action 2008 - 21.1.2008
New year`s greetings from Nail-camp! We have started working on new songs for
our third release. This obviously means that for the first part of 2008 we
won't be as active in the live-section as last year, since we really want to
put an effort into creating something truly special. This songwriting process
demands a lot of time BUT still there are some dates coming for the spring and
summer, so keep checking the gigs section. In the end, our main focus is on
putting the pieces together for this forthcoming album and meanwhile doing
shows here and there. Furthermore, we have a truckload of new photos coming, so
the Gallery -section will be totally renewed. By the way, check out the FMA
poll below and give a vote! (you know who...) See Ya!

Naildown has parted ways with keyboard player Jarmo Puikkonen - 23.11.2007
As some of you have might witnessed on our last two gigs, we pulled those shows without Jarmo so It's time to tell the truth for everybody about the situation;
Naildown has parted ways with keyboard player Jarmo Puikkonen.
No big drama here, just a "little" different views of what being in a band
actually requires.
Us, the remaining Naildowners feel sorry that things were gettting into this
point but there was no other way, this decision was best for everybody.
However, this have NO effect on our live performances. We will continue without
a keyboard player as long as we find the right person for the job. And if we
don't find anyone by the next album's session, that's not a problem either
since we are fully capable to handle keyboard tracks in studio by our own. So,
we are gonna consider carefully before making anyone an official member of the
band. Later..
